Long-Time Client, Convent of the Sacred Heart, Celebrates Major Campus Expansion
Convent of the Sacred Heart officially opened a major expansion that will see an expanded athletic center and more dining spaces, among other improvements on the Greenwich campus.
CSH tripled the size of their athletic and physical education facility and created a safe pedestrian green space and common area allowing students and children to access the athletic complex and playgrounds without crossing driveways. Walkways connect it to the Lower, Middle and Upper Schools, the Early Childhood Education center, and the library/media center. The commons also features an amphitheater, playgrounds, gardens and walkways.
Convent of the Sacred Heart has been a valued client for fourteen years. For this recently completed project, Redniss & Mead provided Master Planning, Land Surveying, and Civil Engineering Services to facilitate the major renovation project and also designed a storm water management system for quantity control and quality mitigation including separation, filtration, infiltration, and bio-filtration of storm water runoff. We also provided assistance in securing Wetlands Permits and CO’s through land use departments.
Since 2004, Redniss & Mead designed the site and infrastructure improvements supporting the Middle School and Library addition, a waste water treatment plant replacing conventional septic fields, a pump house and water main connection replacing an on-site water supply system, additions to the Barat House (pre-k) and Yellow Cottage, a new parking lot, a new athletic field, and electrical service upgrades.
