Mr. Pereira joined the firm in 1995 and became a partner in 2006. He serves as full time Senior Surveyor and Project Manager on many site development projects. Mr. Pereira is responsible for scheduling and coordinating all field work for the firm and works closely with the field crew members on most projects. He is responsible for numerous boundary and topographic surveys, construction layout of projects, client contact and coordination with other team members. He reviews surveying documents and maps to ensure accuracy and certifies them for less experienced and non-certified surveyors. He is also responsible for responding to requests for new work with written proposals.
His experience includes mapping and processing for local, state and Federal agency permits including Planning & Zoning, Conservation Commission, Army Corps of Engineers, Federal Emergency Management Agency, and Department of Environmental Protection. He has worked on a variety of projects including single family homes, multi-unit condominium complexes, commercial and high-rise office buildings, all of which entail map and deed research at various Town and City Halls and State agencies. He is intimately familiar with title and conveyance mapping as well as municipal and state road improvement projects including the preparation of property acquisition maps and descriptions.
Mr. Pereira has worked on a variety of subdivisions including: a two-lot subdivision on Blachley Road for Proctor & Gamble/Clairol to convey 13 acres of the site to the City of Stamford for an Interdistrict Magnet School; and a four-lot subdivision of the Southwood Square (former Southfield Village) property to enable the developers to phase the project; and a seven-lot subdivision of property on Long Ridge Road for residential purposes.
He has provided various mapping and surveys on school campuses including King Low Heywood Thomas School and West Hill High School in Stamford and The Whitby School and Greenwich Academy in Greenwich, CT. He has served as Project Manager providing surveying and mapping on projects for the Yale New Haven Hospital (various sites), the redevelopment of the Metro II project in Stamford; SAC Capital; The Greenwich Audubon; the Maritime Center garage in Norwalk; Merritt on the River; the Towers at Merritt Seven; and Building 6 at Merritt Seven, as well as surveying for many single family residential projects.
