Gateway is a transit-adjacent, mixed-use development located on a six-acre parcel of land on the west side of Washington Boulevard, abutting the Metro North Railroad and includes commuter access to up to 500 surplus parking spaces. Pedestrian enhancements include a direct connection to the Stamford Transportation Center (STC) and a publicly-accessible, 33,000 square foot park and greenway along the banks of the Rippowam River providing neighborhood linkages to the STC. Approval accomplishments include a Zone Change to the Transportation Center Design District, a text amendment of that Zoning Regulation, and abandonment of a City Right-of-Way.
