Redniss & Mead was an integral part of Avalon’s land use team for decades providing land surveying, site civil engineering, and planning & zoning consulting services on several Avalon projects including the 190-Unit Avalon Corners. Given its location within the floodplain of the Rippowam River, demonstrating compliance with Flood Hazard Zone regulations including the creation of a detail backwater analysis was required. Redniss & Mead worked closely with the state and city on the establishment of a new street bounding the northerly edge of the project, retaining density rights on properties acquired by the city. A typical suite of services were provided through the planning, design, permitting, and construction phases of the project.
