Redniss & Mead Principal, Brian McMahon, P.E., along with over 100 officials, volunteers and others from the community joined together on Saturday afternoon, Sept. 12, for the ceremonial ribbon cutting on the newly improved and expanded New Canaan Town Hall. Redniss & Mead served as engineer and surveyor of record for the project.
The year-and-a-half construction project renovated and preserved approximately 13,500 sq. ft. of the existing Town Hall building, which was built in 1909, and added 19,600 sq. ft. of new building space. The project included basement work and demolition of over 10,700 sq. ft. also.
Redniss & Mead provided the civil engineering services which included: site design of grading, drainage, parking and drive as well as utility service improvements. Our surveying scope also included providing existing conditions survey, easement mapping and construction layout. In addition, we provided Construction Administration services.
