Atlantic Station

We provided land use planning consulting, land surveying and civil engineering services for the preservation and reuse of the historic Atlantic Street Post Office into 650 units of high-rise luxury apartments in two towers including ground level retail of 50,000SF.

Charter Communications/Gateway

Gateway is a transit-adjacent, mixed-use development located on a six-acre parcel of land on the west side of Washington Boulevard, abutting the Metro North Railroad and includes commuter access to up to 500 surplus parking spaces. Pedestrian enhancements include a direct connection to the Stamford Transportation Center (STC) and a publically-accessible, 33,000 square foot park and greenway along the banks of the Rippowam River providing neighborhood linkages to the STC. Approval accomplishments include a Zone Change to the Transportation Center Design District, a text amendment of that Zoning Regulation, and abandonment of a City Right-of-Way.

Merritt 7 Corporate Park / Merritt on the River

This 1,300,000 square foot corporate office park is located along 3,500 feet of the Norwalk River. Site planning included the relocation of 2,300 feet of the River; analysis of flood impacts on five completed buildings; environmental analysis and design of impact mitigation such as fish groins and low flow channels; detailed surveys and construction control; and comprehensive permit processing at the local, State and Federal levels. Merritt on the River: We provided Engineering and Surveying services for the construction of a 227-unit residential building (273,635 square feet) and renovation of two existing office buildings totalling
230,000 square feet. Site Engineering included design of storm sewer, sanitary sewer, parking and utility coordination. The project required Conservation and Zoning Board approvals at the local level, as well as Department of Environmental Protection and Department of Transportation approvals at the State level. Access to the site included construction of a bridge crossing over the Norwalk River.

NBC Sports

Services were provided for the redevelopment of part of the former Clairol manufacturing plant, to create 304,000 square feet for studios, production, and general office space as well as a potential parking garage.Approvals for a Zoning Text Amendment and Site/Architectural plans were granted for NBC Sports Group to facilitate the next phase of redevelopment of the (37 acre) former Clairol campus with NBC’s relocation from New York to Connecticut.

Home Depot

The new construction of a 140,000sf Home Depot building and garden center included 588 parking spaces and a new intersection. In addition to managing the land use approval process, we produced the site development plans and construction documents depicting the design of site grading, drainage, utilities, erosion controls, intersection design and prepared the Drainage Report. The Zoning Location Survey was used in the building permit process to depict proposed improvements relative to the property boundaries. We also prepared and submitted a CT DEEP Construction Stormwater General Permit application, EPB permit, provided Civil Engineer Construction Administrative services, Construction Surveying and Utility Coordination and, in addition, assisted with State DOT permitting for the new intersection.

Target

The project, located within the floodplain of the Mill River, just east of the river at Broad Street and Washington Boulevard. The project includes approximately 190,000± square feet of retail space on two levels of Target floor space, approximately 16,000± square feet of additional ground level retail space, several levels of above grade, structured parking as well as associated sitework including drainage, utilities, paving, etc. Various permits from City of Stamford regulatory boards were secured including a permit from the Environmental Protection Board (EPB) which required demonstration that the project would not effect the floodplain and that it was designed to meet the governing floodproofing standards of safety for such projects.
