Inn at National Hall

The redevelopment of the Historic Inn at National Hall, a red-brick Italianate building located on the west bank of the Saugatuck River near the center of Westport, CT. There are several buildings on the mixed-use site including space for office, retail and restaurant uses, as well as a public outdoor plaza along the river. Parking is expanded by adding a level to an existing two-level parking garage. Located within the 100-year floodplain, the project required compliance with floodplain management regulations and heightened environmental sensitivity. In addition to the site design, Redniss & Mead was responsible for seeking and securing approvals from the Westport Flood and Erosion Control Board, Conservation Commission, and Planning and Zoning Commission.
