Introducing Our New Partners:

“I’m honored to join the leadership team at Redniss & Mead,” says Ray. “Small business owner is not a title I ever thought I would have. Achieving that in my hometown, at a company with such a long legacy of excellence, is beyond my wildest dreams.”

Raymond R. Mazzeo, AICP

Ray’s promotion to Principal, marks the culmination of a 17-year journey that began unexpectedly. Mazzeo initially engaged with the firm as a client while working as a leasing broker. Impressed by Mazzeo’s collaboration on two development projects, Rick Redniss, FAICP offered him a position. Looking back at his career trajectory, Mazzeo describes a “slow climb” from assistant to principal. He credits his success to a genuine passion for his work. “There’s a nerdy part where I like solving the puzzles and dealing with the numbers,” he admits, “but the other part of it is seeing the product of our work.” He finds particular pride in driving around his hometown, Stamford, and pointing out the projects he’s helped bring to life. Beyond his expertise in zoning and permitting, Mazzeo navigates complex approval processes, engages stakeholders, and contributes to community organizations like Stamford’s Citizen of the Year.

“I’m excited for the opportunity to join the exceptional leadership at Redniss and Mead,” says David. “I look forward to expanding my role and further supporting the R&M team as we continue to work cooperatively and creatively within our local communities across today’s evolving developmental landscape.”

David R. Ginter, PE, CFM

Dave loves seeing the real-world results of his civil engineering projects. Driving by a school he designed or pointing out a complex building he tackled brings him great joy and a sense of accomplishment. But it’s the intellectual challenge of complex problems that excites him most. Throughout the past 20 years, Dave has thrived on learning new skills, like becoming a certified Floodplain Manager or building a tunnel beneath a road at Brunswick School. Every site has its unique challenges – topography, underground constraints, and is a distinct puzzle to solve in terms of fitting all the necessary elements together – that keeps his work fascinating and engaging. He was attracted to civil engineering because it allowed him to combine his interest in traffic, geotechnical aspects, water resources, and construction management. This inclusive approach aligns perfectly with R&M’s diverse range of projects. Starting out, he was quiet and shy, but Dave developed communication and leadership qualities by working with several outgoing colleagues. He’s grown into an exemplary partner, finding fulfillment in helping others and mentoring junior staff.

A Legacy of Growth

Craig J. Flaherty, P.E., President and Senior Engineer, reflects on the company’s journey, “It has been said that if you love what you do, you never have to work a day in your life and I’m incredibly grateful to see Redniss & Mead grow from a team of 18 to 42 since becoming a partner myself in 2006. Our talented people are what make this company special. I’m proud of this team and their dedication to our clients. I’m fortunate to continue working with my mentors, Rick Redniss and Aubrey Mead, and I’m looking forward to collaborating with the next generation of leaders we are announcing today.”
